Founded in 2018, HYDE is a multi-faceted creative practice with collaboration at its heart.

Lauren Hadler
Lauren Hadler, born in 1982, established herself in Japan in 2012 and has since made numerous contributions to the art and craft industry. Currently serving as the Head of International Partnerships for the annual KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, she has been an integral part of the festival's success since its first edition in 2013, previously holding key positions such as Director of Education and Public Programs and Director of Exhibitions. Lauren sits on the festivals management team and focuses on the festivals growth in terms of sponsorship and education.

Additionally, Lauren is actively involved in the management team of the newly established sister festival, KYOTOPHONIE Borderless Music Festival, where she oversees Production and Sponsorship Relations, contributing to the festival's cultural impact and expansion. Lauren has a diverse background in Arts Management, Creative Production, Landscape Architecture, and Design Architecture. Lauren will undertake her MBA in 2024.
